The
Frater family have been making wine at De Zoete Inval
Wine Estate for the last 120 years. The oldest vines were
planted in the 1920's. We have old Portuguese Port varieties
as well as old clone Cabernet Sauvignon with forceful
mature tannins.
The Frater family believe in minimum intervention and
long cellar ageing. Organic farming methods are applied:
A myriad of wild birds provide the natural balance. They
have built up their populations by feeding on insects,
caterpillars and other pests, eliminating the need for
insecticides.
